Bath, Maine-City of Ships

Painted and took photos in Bath today, beautiful day!  The ospreys were pretty active and kept flying close over head, at least they warn you or that could be scary!

Presumpscot Summer

A beautiful summer day on the river.  Kayaks, very rare site, but wonderful!  When I first started painting and photographing this view ten years ago the whole mill was visible and the edge of the river, how it has changed.

Presumpscot Building

From the Post Office a new senior residence going up right along the river.  Will be a great place to live, right downtown, river view, great sunset view.  This is the John Westbrook Hay property, he is sadly missed by the community.

Picking Photos

Had fun this evening picking reference photos for new paintings.  It is very inspiring to me to go back over my photos and remember the locations and the shots chosen for future paintings.  I get very excited to start painting.  It was too hot for me today to paint plein air, so I worked in the studio.

Mill Makeover

The stack at the mill is getting a makeover, she'll look great soon!  That must be an interesting job to work up so high on the stack, on a clear day a view to the mountains and the sea.

More Garden

An evening walk in the garden to check out what's happening...the Inula is blooming, over seven feet tall!  Tomatoes, cukes, peppers, onions and blueberries!
