Kennebunk Monastery, April 14

Took a walk at the Franciscan monastery in Kennebunk last Thursday, spring is still a dream in Maine.  This is one of my favorite places to paint, especially at low tide, too breezy and wet from recent rain for me that day.

Sappi Mill, Westbrook, Maine

Sun setting on some mill buildings in Cumberland Mills from the Thai restaurant parking lot and the lot of one of the bank branch offices that I managed in my other life, now a deli.  Time moves on...

Golden Road, Mt. Katahdin, Maine

Another shot of the mountain from yesterday's trip, still winter up in Maine!  The mountain looks so close when it is brilliant white and she compels one to get closer, a magical and mysterious place.  I love the glimpses that appear as I drive closer and closer...took my breath away yesterday.

Mt. Katahdin, Abol Bridge, Maine

Spent some time staring at the mountain today.  It was 37 degrees with the wind so strong that I could barely stand.  No painting today but lots of good photos for future paintings.  Picked up twenty plus Katahdin area paintings from the gallery for an impromptu show at EMS in Portland this weekend.

Maine Yacht Center, Portland, Maine

Beautiful sunny day after the storm, 48 degrees and melting snow.  Found a new view of Portland from the Maine Yacht Center.
