Dropped off lots of new work at Carver Hill Gallery today in time for First Friday Art Walk.  Rockland looks very festive and the gallery has beautiful work for gifts to give or to keep!  A very vibrant downtown with small shops, great restaurants and of course the Farnsworth.

Stroudwater, Portland, Maine

Love this place in the Stroudwater section of Portland, love to paint here and to see the light at different times of day here.  Congress Street is so busy here though, with tens of thousands of cars and trucks zooming by here all day and night.  Very hard to enjoy the beauty of the light and tides.

2 Walks, Portland and Damariscotta, Maine

Took 2 walks on this rainy day, in Portland to see the MECA Auction preview and to River Arts in Damariscotta.  Love walking in the misty rain in the city.  Quote for the day from a young man in Portland "Do you know that if you change the lenses on a handicam you can see into almost anything including the mail?"

I was happy to see that the polls were packed in Westbrook this afternoon.  I hope that the election results give us leaders who stand for freedom, compassion, equality, truth and common sense.

Pemaquid Beach, Bristol, Maine

In Damariscotta today, took a side trip to Pemaquid Point and Pemaquid Beach.  Had the beach all to myself!  Pretty cold in the 40's with a stiff wind.  Damariscotta is the perfect town, Reny's, River Grill, little shops, drug store, art galleries, great views, no big box...

Time Take Down, Biddeford, Maine

We helped our dear friend Amy Stacey Curtis (and Bill) take down her Time installation show at the Pepperell Mill in Biddeford today.  Here's Amy with a piece of one of the walls, now removed.  Hope you had a chance to see her show and her drawings now at June Fitzpatrick's High Street Gallery for another two weeks.
