Scarborough Marsh, Maine

Two clouds, two pools...went to paint at the marsh today but it was too windy for me.  So I took a couple of mile walk and spent the time taking pics.  The snow is finally gone, except in the shaded areas of the woods and the sun is bright.  We're expecting a Nor'easter with snow tomorrow!

Maine Department of Labor, Augusta, Maine

Attended a rally at the Maine Department of Labor today to support Judy Taylor's 2008 "History of Maine Labor" commission for the lobby.  The governor of Maine feels the piece is pro-labor and should not be in the State Department of Labor and will remove it.  The painted panels represent the history labor in Maine in particular Frances Perkins,  Secretary of Labor 1933-1945 and the first woman in the US Cabinet.  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Frances_Perkins

250-300 artists, historians, citizens, and labor representatives were present at the rally and press conference.

Lake Winnipesaukee, Wolfeboro, New Hampshire

Delivered paintings to the Pastel Society of New Hampshire's members show in Concord today and took the long way home.  Wolfeboro is very quiet at this time of year.  Drove home under the Supermoon.
