Seawall, Acadia National Park, Maine
Beautiful evening at Seawall relaxing after a long plein air day at Southwest. Cooler. Love the clouds tonight.

Park Loop Road, Acadia National Park, Maine
Beautiful sunset at Acadia as I was leaving the park, the air smelled fresh of the woods, and balsam and of the sea. Deer crossed right in front of my car twice. A little cooler here than the rest of Maine and the evening breeze is refreshing.

Reid State Park, Georgetown, Maine
Mile beach at Reid today, almost summer, a beautiful day. Slight haze on the horizon, mid 60's...heaven on earth.

Kettle Cove, Cape Elizabeth, Maine
Went to paint again at Kettle Cove again today, about 50 degrees when I arrived at 4pm and 41 when I finished at 5:30. The sunsets are always beautiful here.

Pemaquid Beach, Bristol, Maine
In Damariscotta today, took a side trip to Pemaquid Point and Pemaquid Beach. Had the beach all to myself! Pretty cold in the 40's with a stiff wind. Damariscotta is the perfect town, Reny's, River Grill, little shops, drug store, art galleries, great views, no big box...

Beautiful time on the Fundy Trail out of St Martins today, visited all the sights. Very windy day and cool after Earl, great strong waves. Seafood chowder at the caves.

After Hurricane Earl, Split Rock Beach, New Brunswick
Hurricane Earl left a beautiful gift at Split Rock Beach near Gardner Creek, New Brunswick this afternoon, a rainbow! The light was incredible, completely changing every few minutes and huge waves. The beaches here are so quiet and barely a soul to be seen for miles. The rock is reddish purple orange or blue green or purple gray. Some beautiful smooth reddish beach rocks have a white stripe around them. The water was not too cold, but the waves too wild for swimming.
